Measure the width of the recess and add 5 - 10 cms each side

Measure the drop of the recess and add an allowance above the recess of approximately 10 cms.
If the blind is to come down past the sill please add on an allowance for this.
Inside Recess
1)
Measure the exact width of the recess in 2 places (i.e top and bottom of the recess). Note: 1cm will be deducted from the width measurement to allow the blind to be pulled up and down.
2)
Measure the exact drop of the recess in 2 places
Tips
When measuring it is advisable to always use a metal tape.
Measure all windows don’t assume they are the same size just by looking at them.
